Tavistock Group of Artists (TGA) Exhibition
Since the Tavistock Group of Artists was started by two local Grammar School teachers in 1953, the group has gone from strength to strength. Since 1964, an annual exhibition has been held in Tavistocks historic Town Hall. For a week each summer, the members work is proudly on display - original framed work is hung throughout the hall, with unframed originals on display in a browser. Prints of members work are also for sale, together with greeting cards and related crafts.
In recent years, encouraging young artists has been increasingly important to the TGA and, during the Summer Exhibition, GCSE students from local schools are invited to show their work alongside that of the established members.
The 2017 exhibition will take place between Tuesday 20th June and Saturday 24th June, between 10:00am and 6:00pm (Saturday 5:00pm). Members of the public are welcome to come and see the wide range of styles and subject matter being exhibited.
Sunday 18th and Monday 19th are private for setting the exhibition up.
