On Sunday 15th May there will be a run or walk in the Meadows to raise awareness and funds for the teenage mental health charity Papyrus UK, a national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. This community led run or walk is in support of Darcy Hollinson, a local teenager who tragically took her own life last year.
The Run for Darcy will start at 2.30pm near the Bandstand however organisers are keen to point out this is an event to bring the community together and raise awareness and so you do not have to run the 10k, the afternoon is open to everyone, you can walk, run, jog, dog walk, push a pram, cycle around the Meadows, blow bubbles, sit and watch, the choice is yours.
