Full Council normally meets on a Tuesday every 4 to 6 weeks at 6.30pm in the Council Chamber, Drake Road, Tavistock.
Currently the only active Committee is the Development Management & Licensing Committee (formerly Plans Committee). However, Minutes from previous Committees (Properties and Finance & General Purposes) are still available.
The Council made a decision to only have Full Council and Development Management & Licensing Committee (formerly Plans Committee) for a trial period of one year (May 2016 to May 2017). Therefore all decisions will be made by all Councillors attending Full Council Meetings, other than those of the Development Management & Licensing Committee which has delegated authority to make decisions on planning applications. The decision to disband the Committees (other than the Development Management & Licensing Committee) will be reviewed in May 2017 to see if the Council will revert back to separate Committees, or will continue without them.
At the start of Council Meetings members of the public have the opportunity to ask questions of the Council.
