The Thrill of Love tells the gripping story of Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be hanged in Britain, in 1955. ‘I am guilty, I’m a little confused’ said Ruth, following her arrest for the murder of her lover David Blakely. Why does she plead not guilty but offer no defence? Why does she show no remorse? And who is she trying to protect? ‘Terrific' The Guardian, 'Absorbing... the writing is playful and pin-sharp' Telegraph, 'Tense and engaging throughout... a triumph' The Stage.

Following on from their success with Cheshire Cats, Shadowlands, The Railway Children and My Boy Jack, Tavonians Theatre Company is taking The Thrill of Love on tour to eight venues across west Devon and east Cornwall. The tour is sponsored by local estate agent Miller Town & Country. Tickets £10 available from Tavonians Box Office: 08455 196592, www.tavonians.org.uk; or in person from Bookstop.
